This Humid House (THH) is looking for a highly organised and resourceful person to help keep our studio and projects moving.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of studio operations and live production. One day might involve preparing manpower and logistics for an upcoming installation; another might involve organising the studio, coordinating suppliers and equipment; and on event days, you may be on site making sure people, materials and equipment are where they need to be.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Design and Design Team, taking responsibility for the operational and production side of the work and helping turn creative plans into something that can actually be made, transported, installed and taken down.

This is not a floral design role. But it does involve practical thinking and problem-solving — from figuring out production methods and set pieces to resolving how things work on site.

You don’t need to come from the floral industry.

You might have worked in events, theatre, hospitality, production, logistics, exhibitions, retail or another fast-moving environment. We’re much more interested in how you work: whether you’re organised, dependable, calm when plans change, and someone who enjoys making complicated things happen.

Production & Projects
You’ll help coordinate the operational and production side of our floral installations, events and other projects, including:
– Working with the Design Team to figure out practical production methods, set pieces and installation requirements
– Planning manpower, transport, equipment and project logistics
– Preparing Permits to Work (PTWs), venue documentation and access requirements
– Ensuring workplace safety is observed and enforced
– Coordinating suppliers, fabricators, freelancers, drivers and external vendors
– Preparing equipment and materials for installations
– Receiving and organising crew on site
– Coordinating load-ins and load-outs
– Resolving practical and logistical problems on site
– Taking operational ownership of teardowns and ensuring THH equipment returns safely to the studio
– Supporting logistics and planning for regional and overseas projects

Studio & Resources
You’ll help keep the studio ready for the work happening each week, including:
– Keeping track of tools, equipment, materials and supplies
– Ordering and replenishing supplies
– Coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs
– Maintaining simple trackers, records and checklists
– Coordinating the work schedule of our Gardener
– Tracking freelance and project manpower
– Spotting upcoming needs or problems before they become urgent

Coordination & Administration
You’ll keep the practical information behind our projects organised, including:
– Maintaining manpower schedules and timesheets
– Organising supplier and freelancer records
– Processing project receipts, invoices, purchase orders and expenses for Accounts
– Keeping project operations and key dates up to date
– Log any incidents and / or accidents and maintain the documentation records folder
– Following up on outstanding operational tasks
– Working closely with the Head of Design and Design Team to turn project plans into action

We’re looking for someone who:
– Is highly organised and comfortable managing many moving parts
– Notices details and follows things through

– Communicates clearly and confidently with different kinds of people
– Is practical and enjoys solving problems
– Keeps workplace safety and welfare of the crew in mind as part of the planning and execution of the work

– Is comfortable giving clear direction to crew and vendors when required
– Doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty and working both in the studio and on site
– Is comfortable with the irregular rhythm of events, including some early mornings, late nights and weekends
– Holds a valid Class 3 driving licence

You do not need floral experience, and you don’t need to tick every box above.

Experience in events, production, theatre, hospitality, logistics, exhibitions, floral design, retail operations or another creative or operational environment would be useful — but we’re open to people from other backgrounds who recognise themselves in this role.

The Floral Design Intern at This Humid House works closely with our design team across all aspects of studio life — from hands-on floral production to behind-the-scenes preparation and day-to-day operations.

This role is ideal for someone with little to no formal experience who is genuinely motivated to build a career in floral and botanical design. You’ll gain direct exposure to our creative process, materials, and ways of working in a fast-paced, design-led studio environment.

We’re looking for a minimum commitment of 3 months. For the right candidate, there is strong potential to transition into a full-time role within the studio.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

Studio Operations

• Receive, process, and condition fresh florals and botanical materials for studio use
• Maintain studio organisation, cleanliness, and perform basic inventory checks
• Support the team with ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth studio operations

Retail

• Prepare orders and arrange send-outs
• Assist with basic customer communication

Accounts

• Assist with weekly account servicing, including deliveries, on-site making, and touch-ups

Events

• Assist with event setups and teardowns, including on-site making under guidance from the design team

Design Support

• Contribute to the creative process through idea generation, visual research, and reference sourcing

What we’re looking for

• A strong interest in flowers, plants, and botanical design, and a curiosity to learn how living materials can be used creatively
• A proactive attitude — willing to help, take initiative, and follow instructions carefully
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules, tasks, and environments
• A fast learner who can stay calm and think clearly when things move quickly
• Organised and detail-oriented, with care for tools, materials, and shared spaces
• Available to work on weekends when required (especially during events and installations)
• Communicative and responsive, able to work well within a small team
• Comfortable using basic digital tools; familiarity with Google Workspace and design programs like Adobe Creative Suite is helpful
• Ability to drive is a bonus, but not required

As a Media / Marketing Intern, you will work with the Content Creator to produce excellent and on-point content pieces across various media channels to generate customer interest in products and services. 

The scope includes photography and videography documentation of our work, editing and archiving the content pieces for easy access and reference in future projects. 

This position is based in our Singapore studio and will require a minimum commitment of 3 months. Graduates or students studying cinematography, media, marketing or architecture who are legally eligible to work in Singapore will be considered.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Working with Content Creator to propose, create and execute content from documentation in both photo and video formats, mainly for Instagram.
• Documentation of our work, spanning from events to commercial projects and accounts.
• Editing of photos and videos with the purpose of content creation for social media
• Assist with archiving the documented content in our shared drive folders
• Assist with decks  
• Assist in ad-hoc assignments when needed

• Passion for social media and staying up-to-date with trends
• A sharp eye for detail and strong communication skills 
• Basic interest in our subject matter of plants and flowers
• Good energy and strong communication skills
• Copywriting skills is a bonus
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
• Candidates with intermediate photography and videography skills will be at an advantage

This Humid House is Singapore’s leading botanical studio that creates statement-making plant and floral products for events, retail and businesses. 

As a Landscape Design Intern, you will work with the landscape team from concept design to event execution. 

This position is based in our Singapore studio and will require a minimum commitment of 2 months. Graduates or students studying Architecture or Interior Design diploma or degree but with a clear interest in Landscape will be considered.

Freelance Floral Designers at This Humid House are responsible for executing projects under the direction of the full-time Floral Design team. 

This role is aimed at those who enjoy making with flowers and have availability to support our events and other engagements.

- Execution and maintenance of Floral and Botanical products

- Retail floral arrangements, corporate and mass orders

- Event operations, logistics and floristry

- Studio management: Cleanliness, conditioning of flowers, maintenance, inventory checks and sourcing

- Assist in ad-hoc assignments when needed

- A natural interest in floral design and botanicals

- Willing to work with hands as this will be a physically labourious job

- Availability on weekends and non-office hours

- Experience is not necessary but it will be helpful if you've worked with flowers before
