Reading the Room: Floral Styling for the Specificities of Space

Have you ever wondered how to approach floral arrangements for your living spaces? Why a floral arrangement, even? What do we hope it brings? These are questions we’re often asked, and more often than not, it’s not just the arrangement itself, but how it exists within the space that shapes our perception of it.

In collaboration with 21 Carpenter and Jenevive Studio, we’ve crafted a workshop to explore these very questions. 21 Carpenter, designed by acclaimed architectural firm WOHA, is a boutique hotel that blends sensitivity to its heritage with bold, modern design. It was awarded the 2024 Design of the Year by the Singapore Institute of Architects, and in this workshop, you’ll have access to some of its most thoughtfully designed spaces—spaces typically reserved for guests.

Using vessels from Jenevive Studio’s Crema and Snack collections, we’ll guide you through four distinct areas of the hotel. As you move through these environments, you’ll learn how to craft floral arrangements that respond to the unique character of each room—its purpose, its colours, its materials, and the proportions of the space itself.

• Heritage Suite: Design arrangements for personal spaces like the bedroom or bathroom
• Rooftop Infinity Pool & Lounge: Explore artistic expression with a more experimental arrangement
